1:00 PM: The vehicle will take you to Trang An Scenic Landscape, an ecological tourist area within the Trang An World Heritage Complex. It is a prominent tourist destination not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia and the world.
It has been classified as a particularly important national monument by the Vietnamese Government and recognized as a dual World Heritage site by UNESCO since 2014.
Unlike the hustle and bustle of the city or the lively atmosphere of the coast, Trang An nestles in gentle beauty amidst lush green mountains. The tranquil, serene beauty of nature, imbued with time, makes many who visit Trang An want to return again and again.
1:30 PM: Arrive at the entrance to the Trang An scenic area. The driver will issue tickets and take you to the boat dock, the starting point for a boat trip to explore the hidden beauty of Trang An.
Small boats will take visitors to admire the picturesque mountains and rivers, and visit historical sites within the Trang An scenic complex.
Taking a boat tour of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex involves several routes, each with a different itinerary for the outbound journey, and some routes share the same route for the return journey. Therefore, the destinations and duration of this trip will vary.
Vietnam Trust Car Rental has chosen route 2 for you to experience:
Following the Sao Khe River downstream, a small boat will take you on a journey through a picturesque landscape. The pristine beauty of the Rocky Mountains and geological formations rising above the water, stacked upon one another, reveals their grandeur and magnificence.
If you visit on a drizzly day, you will see mist swirling around the mountain peaks, creating a truly poetic scene.
On your journey, you will first arrive at Lam Cave, which is 60 meters long. After passing through Lam Cave by boat, you will reach Lam Valley, which covers an area of over 9,000 square meters.

A stunning view from inside a limestone cave looking out towards the emerald waters and lush green mountains of Trang An, Ninh Binh
Following the Sao Khe River, which has weathered the ups and downs of history but still retains its crystal-clear, emerald-green waters, Lam Cave appears before your eyes in its majestic beauty.
Passing through the Lam Cave, the next stop is the Cao Son Temple, dedicated to a deity from the time of the 18th Hung King who contributed to defeating the Shu army, controlling floods, and developing agricultural production.
The temple was built, renovated, and restored in 2017 in the area near the ancient Cao Son Temple.
After offering incense and paying respects at Cao Son Temple, visitors will continue their journey to explore Vang Cave, which is 250 meters long.
According to locals, the name 'Vang' comes from the loud echo created when rowing a boat through the cave. Besides this name, locals also call it Fish Cave because it is home to many different species of fish.
Passing through Vang Cave leads to Thuy Dinh. This is where traditional musical instruments and folk culture are performed during festivals. Surrounded by majestic limestone mountains, Thuy Dinh was built and restored many years ago.
In addition, in front of Thuy Dinh is a mountain resembling feathers stretching across the sky like a phoenix. Located right in front of the Vu Lam Royal Palace complex, Thuy Dinh embodies traditional architecture and the tranquility of a village pavilion. It is also known as one of the hottest check-in spots in Trang An, attracting a large number of tourists.

Passing by Thuy Dinh is the Thanh Truot Cave, where, according to legend, during the reign of King Ly Than Tong, when Saint Nguyen Minh Khong passed through to find medicine for the king, he was so captivated by the scenery that he slipped and fell, hence the name Thanh Truot Cave (Sacred Slip Cave).
After visiting Thanh Truot Cave, passing by Dia Linh Mountain, which stands majestically in the middle of the water like a pen tower, you will reach Suoi Tien Temple, where Saint Quynh Minh Dai Vuong and his wife are worshipped.
Amidst the gentle sound of oars, the boatman takes visitors to a large cave, 150 meters long. True to its name, Dai Cave is one of the largest caves in the Trang An ecological tourist area. Dai Cave is 200 meters long, and its interior is incredibly spacious and airy.
At the end of the tour, you will visit the Vu Lam Royal Palace, a military base of the Tran Dynasty, located in the core area of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
In the past, this was the base established by the early kings of the Tran Dynasty to consolidate their forces for counterattacks and liberate Dai Viet during the resistance against the second and third Mongol invasions.
This place is also associated with the event of the Tran kings renouncing their worldly lives to become monks and promote Buddhism.
Guests will board the boat to return to the starting point. On the way back, guests can also take advantage of the opportunity to take more beautiful photos on the boat to enrich their collection of photos from their one-day Trang An - Bai Dinh tour.
4:00 PM: The boat will return to the original pier, and guests will then board the bus to return to Hanoi.
7:30 PM: Arrive back in Hanoi. The vehicle and driver will drop the group off at the initial pick-up point. The one-day Trang An – Bai Dinh Pagoda tour concludes.
