14:00 pm: the car and driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to My Tho boat station (about 10:00 AM) where your tour guide will greet and welcome you for embarking the boat.

Arrive at My Tho boat station (where you will meet your tour guide), board the motorboat at a dock, and cruise down the magnificent Mekong River. At this point you can see floating houses where fish are farmed beneath them surrounding four islands: Dragon Island, Thoi Son Island (Unicorn Island), Phoenix Island, and Turtle islet (viewed from the speedboat).

Following the journey on the river until you reach the local hidden Tan Thach village (which is much less touristy than Thoi Son island tourism), you will learn about many coconut uses (coconut candy, wine, oil, mat, coco shell), and the tour guide will also explain the coco candy production process at the local coconut workshop, which is very kid-friendly. Enjoying free sampling of local dishes and learning about the daily lives of locals.

Afterward, I was on a hand-rowing sampan (small boat) in a little canal, leisurely cruising through a small stream with magnificent overhanging coconut palms. Life on both sides of the brook may be viewed.
